The Collingham & District Local History Society is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation founded in 1977 with the objective of conserving archives and artefacts belonging to the historic village of Collingham. In 2016, coinciding with the refurbishment of the Jubilee Rooms (where the archives are maintained) I was enlisted by the society to develop their new visual identity
The new logo was inspired by the Collingham Cross, a 14th century monument that was originally located on the east side of the High Street. As well as being emblematic of the monument, the logo gives the illusion of steps disappearing into shadow, a symbol of the journey back in time experienced by all who are lucky enough to discover the archives for themselves
